Hardware has a lifespan, Electric gates included.
Of course this lifespan can be significantly extended if they correct maintenance is carried out, especially in more corrosive environments such as in close proximity to the sea.
Unfortunately for this system it was too little too late and we had to install not only new motors but also a new control panel and sensors too.
Luckily the system that was installed some time ago is still available albeit revised with additional features, This allowed us to keep the existing ground boxes and save welding on new arms or unsightly actuators.
