From a temporary installation in some old portacabins to a freshly built this office complex, this network installation has seen it’s fair share of traffic and usage.
Last week we moved one of our long term clients existing installation comprising of a 4G router, external antenna and four access points over to their new premises.
Moving a network installation to a new site isn’t without it’s own challenges. New topology for the 4G system to compete with and of course no one forward plans for the last minute change of access point locations.
Normally we would have the cabling in place prior to buildings being decorated and furniture moved in however that’s not always the case. This time infact the day we were scheduled to install the network was move in day! Cue vehicles and people everywhere and us trying to fish cables to suitable locations.
Fast forward a week and we’re back to install the new rack, NVR, cameras and other hardware to connect the CCTV to the existing network. Of course it’s always a Friday when you discover that you don’t have the correct bracket due to a mismeasurement but that doesn’t stop us getting the system installed and functional ready for the weekend.
