Ever wondered how we get WiFi to every level in your home or even to an outbuilding? Well here’s one of the many ways we do it.
Now normally we would lift floorboards and fish cables throughout the house in order to get network to the first and second floor but in this case the access point is to be wall mounted and unfortunately there’s no access to the ground floor thanks to the builder sheeting the floor prior to the data cabling being installed.
Whilst running cables on the exterior of the property isn’t our favourite method it’s a much better alternative to ripping up sub floors as well as finished flooring in some areas.
Outdoor rated Cat6 cabling will ensure this installation will last and provide stable internet to every room in this home.
P.S. we know we don’t have a dust sheet down – the room is due for decoration in the coming weeks and it’s nothing a quick vacuum wouldn’t sort for us.
